Japanese black pine or P. thunbergii grown from seed. This tree has a good nebari and movement near the base. The trunk is still flexible enough to be bent to add more curves and twists. Up top you have a good selection of branches to create the apex.

Lovely Japanese black pine with curved trunk. The tree was grown from seed and wired when it was still young. In the apex it has a lot of branches to choose and use for styling.

Chinese juniper with lots of character! The trunk features very old, flakey bark and lots of twists and bends. The tree has very compact foliage with a dark green color.
